The Dominican Republic is located on the Island of Hispaniola in the Carribean Sea.  The island was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1492 and has many buildings that date back to the 1500's.

The Dominican Republic is rapidly becoming a popular tourist destination with beaches, shopping, fishing and golf among the many available activities.
