Is it safe in the Dominican Republic?
Yes.   The Dominican Republic has recently become a quite popular tourist destination for Americans.  Dominicans are welcoming people and especially so with baseball players.  We will stay together as a group and players will have a buddy system.

What if someone gets hurt?
We don't anticipate any injuries, however in the unlikely event of an accident during a game, we will have a staff member present with Red Cross first aid certification during all baseball games.  We have an emergency plan with a state of the art Health Care provider Hospiten.

What kind of supervision will my son have?
We maintain a 4 to 1 player to staff ratio.  During times that we are not participating in baseball activities, playerss will be in groups of four with a coach.

What is the hotel like?
The hotel Magic Tropical has simple double rooms overlooking a swimming pool surrounded by palm trees.  We will sleep two players per room.  It is within walking distance of the beach and the baseball field.

What is the food like?
We will eat food prepared at local restaurants that offer an assortment of beef, chicken, fish and rice cooked Dominican Style.  Players will have the option of being adventurous with their diet or may opt for more familiar dishes such as fried chicken.  Tropical fruit is also in abundance.

How many games will be played?

Plan to play games every day.

What other activities will we be doing besides playing baseball?
We will go to the beach, take a trip to the colonial zone in Santo Domingo, visit a Major League Baseball Dominican Academy, learn Dominican baseball training techniques and assist in a local community service project such as painting a house.

Fort Ozama in Santo Domingo's Colonial Zone was built in 1505
