  College Credit

There are many opportunities for an enterprising student-athlete to get college credit from the experience and education that this camp offers.  The players who attend this camp will get a learning experience that can be related to fields such as

Professors in these fields at the University of Virginia have been approached about this.  Here's their advice on how to set it up: 

• Contact an instructor, in an applicable field, at your college several months in advance.:

• Explain to them that you will be going on this trip and would like help designing an independent study, for credit, around your trip. 

• Offer to do some background reading about the Dominican Republic and, following your trip, write a paper detailing what you learned as it relates to the subject in which you are pursuing credit.
